![]() Note that some Meijer's have the frontier! I used one for a time when I was working there. I've been using the Fuji Frontier at Wal-Mart because the tonality is a little better on the Frontier, in my opinion (you may disagree). It's been a long time since I've used it. Sometimes I would adjust the image on the screen to look good before printing.you may not need to do that if your monitor's calibrated well. Sometimes when I printed from CD, the image on the Ditto's screen was lighter or darker than what I saw at home ( my monitor back then was not calibrated), but the Ditto screen was accurate. My major complaint is the prints are somewhat thin compared to RA-4 paper, and they scratch easily, although I'm not sure they are really worse in that regard than glossy RA-4 prints. My experience with digital printing on the Ditto (I worked at Mejer when I was in college as a photo lab tech) is that the quality is very even does neutral, excellent black and white. The Photo Ditto is similar to a Kodak Picture Maker (found at Walgreens, Knmart, Kroger, etc.), but it gives better quality, in my opinion. The prints are made on a Sony Dye Sub printer. The computer's got built in drives for CD, floppy, Zip Disk, and media cards. Once dry, use tweezers to gently pull out the design from the paper and stick it over the. It's actually a windows PC with an Epson flatbed scanner to copy prints, and a Nikon film scanner for slides and negs. It's self-service I just wont pay for them. Trying it when I do my grocery shopping, and if they suck since The midwest chain is now advertising digital prints, anyone give itĪ try yet?
